September 2025: Now accepting new clients for virtual individual therapy and NOVA Expectant Mom Group members.

My role is to support you in exploring your thoughts and emotions in a safe, grounded space—helping you lighten emotional burdens and build resilience, clarity, and self-compassion. Our work together will help you not only manage discomfort, but grow your capacity to navigate stress, uncertainty, and change with more confidence.

My approach integrates psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. Together, we’ll explore the deeper patterns shaping your current challenges, uncover and shift unhelpful thought cycles, and develop a toolbox of practical strategies for emotional regulation and well-being. Mindfulness is woven throughout to support presence, perspective, and calm.

Clients often describe me as straightforward, empathetic, encouraging, and grounded with a sense of humor. I take an active role in sessions while making space for reflection and emotional processing. Clients who appreciate structure but also want space for reflection tend to feel especially supported in our work. While you will always know yourself best, I’m here to help you gain insight, reconnect with your inner strengths, and move toward lasting change.

I work exclusively with adults and have a special interest in supporting clients through maternal mental health, parenting, relationship challenges, life transitions, anxiety, and LGBTQ-affirming care. I strive to create a welcoming, inclusive space for people of all identities and backgrounds.

My Training

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Kenyon College and my Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University. During grad school, I completed an internship at The Renfrew Center in New York, where I later worked for four years providing individual and group therapy to women struggling with eating disorders and their families.

After that, I joined George Washington University’s Mental Health Services team as a Staff Clinician and Eating Disorder Services Coordinator. There, I helped develop care guidelines for students with body image and eating concerns and supported all students dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship challenges. At GWU I enjoyed teaching, supervising trainees, running process groups, and guest lecturing for Exercise Science classes.

Since 2016, I’ve been in private practice based in Farragut Square. I am currently licensed in D.C., Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia. I’ve continued to build my skills with advanced training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at The Washington School of Psychiatry, specializing in individual and couples work, as well as completed a certification course in maternal mental health.

Insurance and Payment Information

I am an out-of-network provider, which means I am not contracted with any insurance companies. However, most of my clients are able to receive partial reimbursement from their insurance once their deductible has been met. Typically, insurance covers between 50% and 80% of my fee.

If you’re unsure about your insurance benefits, I encourage you to contact your insurance company directly and ask about coverage for an “out-of-network clinical social worker.”

If we decide to work together, I will provide you with a detailed invoice (called a superbill) each month. You can submit this to your insurance company to request reimbursement. I will also provide a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected costs for your sessions.

My current fee for a 45-minute individual therapy session is $240. Limited sliding scale is available; contact me for more information.
